There is no neighborhood in America as famous, infamous, and inspiring as Harlem. From its humble beginnings as a farming district and country retreat for the rich, Harlem grew to international prominence as the mecca
of black art and culture, then fell from grace, despised as a crime-ridden slum and symbol of urban decay. But during all of these phases there was writing in Harlem—great writing that sprang from one of the richest and most unique communities in the world. From Harlem’s most revered icons (like Langston Hughes, Duke Ellington, Ann Petry, and Malcolm X) to voices of a new generation (including Willie Perdomo, Mase, Grace Edwards, and Piri Thomas), The Harlem Reader gathers a wealth of vital impressions, stories, and narratives and blends them with original accounts offered by living storytellers, famous and not so famous. Fresh and vivid, this volume perfectly captures the dramatic moments and personalities at the core of Harlem’s ever-evolving story.

By our senior writer: Joelma Lima

I've been wanting to write this piece for a long time. And now I finally get to write the in-depth review of the The Harlem Reader : A! I, Joelma Lima, am used to write about beauty, because I have done so for years. You have hopefully seen my articles about the La Vie Est Belle Rollerball 0.34oz by Lancome and the ESTEE LAUDER by Estee Lauder Hydrationist Maximum Moisture Creme ( For Normal/ Combination Skin ) -/1.7OZ for WOMEN by Fragrance. I also did a big piece on the AHAVA Extreme Night Treatment with Dead Sea Minerals, 1oz./30ml. So you might say I have the know-how to be writing about beauty. So naturally I was very happy when I got this product in the mail!

Introduction

I am really happy to finally be reviewing the The Harlem Reader : A and writing1 this review for you guys for I've been using Urban Decay products for over 8 years now and I was really excited when I found out they came out with the The Harlem Reader : A. Of course I looked where I can get it the cheapest, and I always find it on this website. This time it was the deal from Walmart (The deal can be bought here.) and I saw it was the best deal on the internet. So I didn't think twice and and ordered it there. Luckily for me at Walmart they had same day delivery and free shipping so I didn't have to wait long for my package to arive. When it did, I couldn't wait to open it and finally see my brand spanking new The Harlem Reader : A. I immediately saw it had totally been worth the wait. On the chance of sounding quite a bit biassed being a longtime Urban Decay fan, this product really crushes its competitors, which you can feel immediately when opening the package. I feel like I know enough about the The Harlem Reader : A to write this review after testing it for a couple of days now. So keep reading and I will show you why I am so happy with my new The Harlem Reader : A.

Best The Harlem Reader : A Celebration of New York

Summary

I mostly begin with a summary when reviewing beauty, then I write a list of the positive and negative points of the product after which I'll explain my rating and have a conclusion and of course the resources I used writing this article. So as made clear in the previous paragraphs, I am quite fond of the The Harlem Reader : A. Urban Decay really went all out with this one. The quality is unmatched, and to be honest; it just looks amazing. I know looks aren't the most important aspect of beauty, but it does need to be talked about. And I'm sure it will when more people start to look at this masterpiece. The price alone that Walmart offers was and is by far the lowest, and should be enough reason to grab your wallet so make sure to check them out. I did test a lot of similar products before, I must admit none come even close to the The Harlem Reader : A. Just the functinality alone leaves all competition in the cold and the quality also proves to be up there. The customer service of Urban Decay2 is known to always be very happy to assist if you have any question so if you ever need them they'll be really tolerant and helpful in looking for a solution. So just a quick recap; only good things to say about the The Harlem Reader : A Celebration of New York's Most Famous Neighborhood, from the Renaissance Years to the 21st Century. Do finish this article tho because you there is sort of a surprise in the end!
